PNR (Passenger Name Record) is a 10 digit number which tells the current status of ticket.With PNR number you can check ticket status.When you reserve Indian railway ticket they assign unique PNR no.If your number is confirmed it means you can travel with that ticket.
The database stores information like names,age,gender,coach no along with Ac or non AC options.You can see all these details on the printed ticket.
How to find PNR number on ticket ?
If you book via official e portal you will receive e-print copy which includes ticket number at the bottom of documents.Alternatively you get direct ticket from the railways counter.See top left corner of the printed tickets and note down 10 digit numeric code.
